"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 (ESV)

Hi Friends~

Spring is in the air. Do you find yourself having a pep in your step? The rays of warmth are shining longer, brighter, and stronger, and nourishing all of God's creation. Including us.

Do you know you can soak in the same energy and goodness and nourishment in Christ? The Sonshine's soothing life-rays enrich our soul and splash joy and hope into our heart. Even in the frosty moments of darkness, Jesus' love thaws the icy bite of pain.

Shed off the layers of weariness and slip on the power of hope in Jesus Christ. Find true peace and rest in the Freedom-Redeemer: Our life-cord to heaven.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

Giveaway Winner: I am only going to give part of the email address name for privacy reasons: it is "eagle." Please leave a comment with your name if this you. Congrats!

John 14:6, Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

The cross.

Such a powerful image of forgiveness, freedom, and faith.

I bear the image of the cross on my wrist.

Cross.jpg

The cross reminds me of His Love-Freedom. Eternal love. Eternal life.

Ann Voskamp has stated, "The cross is the ladder to heaven."

Oh, the image of our forever home because of the cross.

Freedom. What is the cost?

Death.

His Death.

Definition of freedom: "the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved."

Jesus. He freed us from imprisonment and slavery by His blood.

Grace.

His Resurrection-Freedom.

Praise God.

His wonderful love.

His lovely freedom of the cross.

He loves you. You are His precious daughters. Find your peace in Him on the cross; the ladder which reaches to heaven; to Freedom.

Love, Michele

Happy New Year, Friends!

I am not a gal that makes New Year's resolutions. I find I do not keep them, then the dumping of discouragement weighs me down and disappointment pours into my heart, mind, and soul. Do you feel the same way?

Instead of placing a strain on my heart and draining my soul with a New Year's resolutions, God asked me to seek His goals. God's goals.

One goal He lovely poured over me is to find and feed and flourish in relationships. Dig a little deeper. Plant more seeds. Fertilize. Water with love. Be intentional.

Grow, give, and gather His lovely daughters.

I am not sure what the year is going to bring with the new goal from the Gardner but my heart's desire is to "accept" and trust and have courage and believe in Him.

Why is "accept" in quotation marks? It is my "2017 Word". This is new to me but I guess it is not a new thing to pray and ask God for "a word" from Him to help in your spiritual walk. I like it. Do you have a word?

God also gave me a couple of verses to learn, meditate on and grow through this year.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:3-4 (NIV)

I look forward to the year of 2017. A fresh new year to allow us to grow closer to Him, His Word and His promises. I pray we gaze into our Father's eyes and see His unconditional love AND KNOW He has the best for us no matter the circumstance of life.

Giveaway...

January's giveaway are beautiful journals. I believe in journaling. Journaling brings my thoughts closer to Him. It helps me sort through things. It helps me see prayers answered. Maybe journaling is a goal God has placed on your heart. There are three in the package.

In the comments section below or on CC Facebook page, leave a word that sprouts your God's goals and grows your faith in Him by Monday, January 9th. I will select and post a winner on Wednesday, January 11th.

Lord, help us wrap up in You. To "accept" Your lead in our lives. To have courage and boldness through the blood of your Lamb. Immanuel, God with us. Help us believe. Help us know. Show us the desire of Your heart. Helps us say yes. Your love is forever and always. Thank You. Amen.

Love, Michele
