"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 (NIV)
Soaking in and listening to the sweet truths of Christ, my soul found refreshment. Joy sprung once again in my heart and spirit.
Last week Danny and I took a break. A well-needed step away from the busyness.
We soaked in pause.
Our adventure-trip walked us to the lovely state of TX.
As I walked, talked, and listened to the folks of the great state of TX one thing kept ringing true: God and Country.
Their pace was a bit slower. Their focus was on us. Engagement with others was evident.
Something stirred within me and reminded me what was most important: finding joy in relationships.
One of my favorite places we visited on the trip was Magnolia in Waco, TX.
If you are like me, you are a fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines. Not just because they are so darn cute but for their faith-walk in their ministry-work.
Goodness, the people that poured into this place. For a girl who doesn't care too much for crowds, it was a bit overwhelming. But God showed up, and He sent something that erased my uneasy emotions: praise music. The whole Magnolia area and buildings were filled up with music of His faithfulness. As I listened to the words of His promises, the Holy springs of joy moved through my body.
Jesus-Joy of peace.
The presence of Jesus-Joy was there as people talked with one another, broke bread together, swung together and purchased products together.
Not everyone there might have been believers or "church people" but never the less, they experienced the presence of joy.
As God's children, joy is found in amazing experiences of life AND in times of sorrow and heartache and fear.
The Rock of our Redeemer and Freedom-Maker is present in both circumstances of life.
Friend, I am not sure what life is handing you right now. There might be speed bumps, crises or amazing life moments happening in your life circle. In all these life-moments God is present. He shows up every single time.
He places and pours on each of us His grace in our joy moments of sorrow or sunny, sparkling days.
Our Faithful Father
Our Burden Taker
Our Cross Freedom-Redeemer. Always.
Hang all your joy moments on the cross of Christ.
We are back home now and as I reflect back on our experience the joy of Jesus was ever so present each day in our pause. I feel refreshed and ready to step back into the life issues that await us on our return. As I look through my joy-lens, I feel peace from my Father knowing He is walking right with me, holding my hand. Thank you, Jesus.

The next two months I want us to journey with our Joy-Maker. To enter into June's giveaway, share a time you felt God's joy. How did it make you feel? Another way to enter is to share a verse on "joy." Leave your response in the comment area below or on CC Facebook page. I will announce the winner next week.
