Happy Friday, Friends! I announced the giveaway winners last night on Facebook Live Chat, but want to name the winners via a blog post too. The live chat was fun and made me realize how much I say, "um" and I also make this funny noise with my mouth ALOT. I told a friend I think it was a nervous tick. Something to work on for sure! I have to say, I enjoyed the live chat and think I will implement a chat once a month for CC.

Do you mind if I pause for a moment and share with you something that happened to me last night? I live in the woods. Really, I do. I call our home, "our little cottage" in the woods. A beautiful, quiet place to see His handiwork. We are blessed.

Last night, as I was stepping out to let my "little man" use the bathroom, I felt a weird darkness in my soul which frightened me to my core. Sounds penetrating through me and through my home and through the woods. It was loud, there was chattering and howls and collusion traveling from one side of woods to the other. It took me a moment, but I knew as I stood still and quiet on our deck, the noise I was hearing were coyotes. The noise stopped me and froze me. All I could think of was "evil."

I quickly stepped inside and fear traveled within me. I was alone in the house, my husband was on an airplane flying home from CA. I have never felt so alone in my home before. I hurried across the room to activate our alarm system. I chuckled to myself knowing the outside evil couldn't possibly come inside. But, actually, could it?

Dark-aloneness was attached to me.

Dark-Evil seeped into my thoughts.

Darkness from the Dark tried to freeze me and remove me from my Solid Rock.

My house had a shield but so did my I.

My Rock reminded of my own Shield.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:10-18

Protection surrounds us and always will.

With His Word and through faith we can "extinguish all the flaming arrows" the evil one throws at us to harm us. Stand firm, stand strong and know we are never alone. Amen!
