"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." James 1:6 (NIV)
Here I go again, allowing disastrous doubt dampen the desires of my heart.
As last year came to a close, I searched my heart and asked God for His goals in ministry for 2017: writing, reading, studying and relationships. Sprinkle His love over you, my friends.
Then, even before the countdown to the New Year ticks down, I felt "that not so loving feeling" of doubt. Of fear.
"Who am I to serve the Lord in the way He desires? The calling from God purposefully placed over me."
Silly and sad whispers saying I am not that "kinda" gal.
Daggers of doubt started to damage me once again.
Doubt destroying hopes placed on me by God.
What about you? Are you feeling the heaviness of doubt?
Are there heavenly God-callings placed on your heart just for you and you do not know why you are standing still: stalled out due to doubt.
Doubt is a disease.
Doubt creeps and seeps into our mind-thoughts.
Doubt stops us in our tracks and stifles what is most important to us; to God. Love-relationships.
Godly-growth in Him.
Godly-growth with others.
Doubt and fear intertwine together to cause dysfunctional destruction.
Doubt and fear love to coexist together and swirl in crazy chaos deep within us.
The drip, drip, drip of doubt. It can drive a girl crazy.
What's a God's girl to do?
What is the cure?
Thank goodness for Godly-Cures.
I want a spoonful of His Remedy. Do you?
The cross of Christ frees us.
Liberty from the Liar.
Do not allow doubt to rob you from reaching out and rejoicing with our Redeemer.
Rip off the label of doubt.
Ouch, it hurts, and it is scary, but the balm of our Savior will soothe and soften areas which have been hardened by lies, doubt, and fear.
I do not make light of the bondage of doubt. Me too. I understand. I get it. I also know with His courage and bravery and boldness He will help us move forward. Baby steps to freedom.
Break the shackles of doubt with His living water.
Heavenly Father, doubts, and fears hurt us and your path in our life. We do not always understand the "whys" thrown at us. I pour over Your beautiful daughters, Your healing balm of holiness. Help them through whatever is stalling them out from the calling You have placed on them. May they know Your unconditional love surrounds them in all their days. Thank you, Father. Amen.
I am not one about numbers, shares, and likes. However, one of my dear friends last week said God placed on her heart the word "share" about CC. He asked her to tell me to ask others to share His words written in CC. I have prayed how to ask, and He said: "just ask." It is not comfortable for me to ask you to share, but in obedience I am asking. Will you do that for me? Will you share, forward and like the CC blog postings if you feel the nudging from God? Thank you.
My prayers and desires are for you to grasp and know God's amazing love for you. To encourage you with His promises.
If you scroll to the bottom of the home page on CC, you will find a free printable image to print out and frame. It is a little "thank you" for your support.
Thank you, Courtney Freed, for designing the beautiful printable. Courtney is my son's fiance. She blesses me with her talents.
