“Many are the plans in my heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose for me that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 AMP
Hello, God’s Girls! Happy Friday to you!!
What are your plans for this weekend?
What are your plans for the next week, next month, next year???
Do you see where I am going? Does your mind run away with the thoughts of “what’s next”?
My mind goes there more than I like.
Do you feel as if you are in the sprint of life? Running faster and faster but not going anywhere due to the “what’s next” mindset? It can be paralyzing.
Oh, my big grandstand plans of life, the plans for all that “I” want to do are so big; however, “my plans” get in the way of the plans of “The Planner”, which gets me into trouble and in a funk.
Can you relate to the “I”-itis of life? Leaning on “me, myself and I”? Instead of Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
The key verse states: “Many are the plans in my heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose for me that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 AMP
Sometimes when life is slipping away from us due to the “what’s next” circus, we have to pause and shift gears. We have to let go and allow the Lord’s purpose to stand and guide our life.
Turn and trust in His ways. Open up the fist of frustration so you can pause and shift gears to our gracious God. This will allow us to switch our lens from me to thee.
So, my friends: that is exactly what I am doing…pausing and shifting gears. I want to keep the Lord’s purpose as my compass.
I am making a few adjustments in my writing schedule. I will start posting updates only on Monday’s and the key verse in the writing will now be the memory verse for the week. There might be times that I actually pause and step away from posting here and there, especially with the holidays approaching.
I never want to be a fake with you. I want to be the best God’s girl to my Savior and to you. I want to enrich you with His promises and His ways, but it is hard when I try to juggle too much. I am not a good juggler; the balls of life start flying, dropping and hitting things or people around me. Some people thrive on the busyness of life, for me it halts my heart.
I will start posting updates to this blog on Monday instead of Friday. The new schedule will start on Monday, Oct 10th. Next Friday, Oct 7th is a guest writer. My friend, Nicole is a speaker and a writer and is truly an inspiration in my life. Her craft of writing is natural and so very relate-able. Stay turned for her posting next week.
One new item I am going to implement, and very excited about, is a monthly giveaway. I enjoy giving to others, it puts a smile on my heart and it blesses me.
Talking about giveaways... I promised to announce the winner of “Prayers for a Woman’s Soul” by Julie K Gillies.
And the winner is (drumroll)….Lana Brett!! Lana, I will bring the book to you on Tuesday at SG. Congrats!
I want to thank each of you for your support, encouragement and for reading my blog postings. It floods my heart with joy thinking about each of you.
Enjoy your weekend. Allow the Lord’s purpose for your life to guide you this day and everyday.
