This is the first installment of “When God’s Girls Say Yes”. Each month a feature guest will share their story of saying “yes” to God and what happened when they made the commitment to His calling.
She Speaks 2016: 800 Hand-Raising, God Praising Girls
The waves of fear swept away by the Holy Spirit as we found favor in His eyes. We reached high into the ski, touching heavens Glory. Praising our Jesus. Honoring our Father. Soaking in the One whom dwells within us. The heavenly angels rejoiced as our voices united as one, singing: You. Are. Worthy.
Streams of purity, love and gratitude flowed from our eyes. Insecurities and comparisons melted away like snow. A beautiful, carefree and joyous melody rang out from the depths of our soul. The liberating bell rang out: freedom.
You see, each one of us is cut from the cloth of Christ. We yearn to dig deeper. Desire to seek, grow and serve. The calling from our Father is pressing. He doesn’t let us rest until we say “yes”.
Yes to His…
The song Oceans fueled our heartbeat, “Take me deeper than my feet could ever wonder, and my faith would be made stronger in the presence of my Savior.” A song of faith that filled us up and squashed-out the emptiness of unworthiness.
As we press forward into His calling, God’s Girls look straight into the eyes of the Liar and say, “You are defeated! Game done! We Won!” The Victory is signed, sealed and delivered on the cross. Amen!
I am a God's Girl. So are you. It is not just a name; it is in our DNA. You have a calling. You have a purpose. You have a promise from Him. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 (NIV)
Ask. Find. Knock. Open the door. Let Him in and say “yes”! It is exciting, it is. It is also hair-raising scary. You know, the kind of scary that becomes a cold sweat of distress. Fear not, Jesus is our Light in the darkness of despair and discouragement.
My heart is overflowing with heavenly happiness. My friend, I wish this for you too. God is willing to give His gift to you – crack that door and open it wide. See, seek and search for Him in all things, especially in the “yes”.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8 (NIV)
Join me as a “God’s Girl”. Pray the words, “Here am I. Send me!” It is liberating. Let freedom ring!
